Wildlife Fire Training

*During the Black Saturday Fires, we had an amazing response of volunteers keen to get out on the fire ground and help search for burnt, injured or orphaned animals! This training day will arm you with the necessary training required to safely achieve this. If you are keen to help search when the fires hit again, as we expect they will, it is compulsory for you to attend this training before you turn out with BADGAR to search fire grounds.

Please note that you will also be required to complete an online course provided by the DSE (Department of Sustainability and Environment) called BASIC WILDFIRE AWARENESS (www.firetraining.org.au). The DSE will issue you with a certificate. We will require a copy of your certificate for our records and as proof to the DSE when we are out in the field.
